The Virtual Reality module lets you view your designs and create photograph-like pictures. Utilizing cutting edge DirectX technology from Microsoft, the VR module allows you to actually walk though your designs in real time.

The main controls in the VR module are shown in the illustration at the right. The picture can be changed in two ways. First, clicking the arrows at the lower-left will immediately shift the viewpoint to one of nine preset locations, so you can quickly look at your design from all sides.

Want to move through your design in real time? Just click down on the picture with your mouse and drag and the picture will change. Dragging the buttons below the picture give you five additional types of movement. For instance, dragging on the airplane button lets you fly around your design as though you are in a tiny airplane.

Controls at the lower-right let you record your movements for later playback as movies. These can be set to play continuously if you like --- great if you want an eye-catcher at a trade show or in your showroom. See the little speaker button? Click on this and background music starts to play.

Buttons at the top of the screen let you set the time of day. You can also change the direction of the sunlight for more dramatic lighting and change the colors of pieces of furniture.

If you are viewing a night scene you can turn individual lights on and off by clicking on them, or cause candles to flicker. You can also change the virtual reality background to look more like your part of the world.

See a picture you want to keep? Click a button and it is saved for use with PartyCAD’s Layout Page or Picture Show modules, or with any program that accepts Windows bitmap (BMP) files or JPG files. As with all PartyCAD modules, you can easily email any picture to a client.
