What's New in PartyCAD?

Hello,

What's New?

New Tent Wizard — Introduced in PartyCAD 9, a new version of the Tent Wizard now allows you to create a wider variety of tents and canvas structures. In addition, the new wizard gives you much greater control over the placement of poles and lines, and allows you to add ruffled drip edges, pole drapes, pole socks, liners, floors and a variety of pennants to the tents you create.

Furniture Gallery — A new way of working with PartyCAD's vast collection of 3D furniture was also added in Version 9. Now you can bring up a searchable Furniture Gallery that makes finding a piece such as a hot air balloon is a simple as typing "Balloon" and clicking a Find key. The Furniture Gallery also allows you to load multiple pieces of furniture at once, unlike the older Party Album that only allows you to load a single piece at a time. Note though, the Party Album is still available for those occasions when you would prefer to use it.

Rendering on Top of Photos — Another popular feature added in version 9 was the ability to load a picture as a background in the Virtual Reality module. Your party renders on top of such a picture and so you can give your clients an idea of just what a given party will look like when installed in their yard or room.

If your computer has speakers, the best way to learn about the new Tent Wizard, the Furniture Gallery and rendering on photos is to watch New in Version 9 on the Party Videos page. Or, if you don't have speakers, you can read about these and other features introduced in PartyCAD 9 in the PartyCAD 9 Newsletter.
